The Premise

Mark and Lucy have been given a half term assignment to research the History of Southend Pier. What the teenagers stumble upon is an adventure no-one could have foreseen as they travel back to London in the years after Queen Victoria’s death.

The story is told mainly from the perspectives of Mark and Lucy. However,  other voices coupled with that  infamous publication: The History They Tried to Suppress are used to tell the tale.

Each voice, puts a own unique slant on the tale as  the teenagers become vital to the survival of one of the greatest  and flawed politicians of all time and a man whose role in history is under threat.
